If I knew you I'd tell you the truth And I know you could take it from me And you'd tell me what you thought, too And not leave you in silence and need Oh baby, that's why it's such a sin That you're so far away from me now We could be somewhere in a bed Trying to figure it out We should be somewhere in your bed Trying to figure it out You can tell me whatever you like Cause it makes no difference to me I know what I need from you right now I don't care if you stay or you leave Oh baby, that's why it's such a sin That you're so far away from me now We could be somewhere in a bed Trying to figure it out We should be somewhere in your bed Trying to figure it out

Someday girl it's gonna be The end of things for you and me Sad to say it but it's true Someday I'll be leaving you And I hope you'll make it all right On you own Yeah, I hope you'll do ok On your own All my friends said you were the one At the time I believed them After everything I've seen You're the best that's ever been And I hope you'll make it all right… someday girl it's gonna be The end of things for you and me Sad to say it but it's true Someday I'll be leaving you And I hope you'll make it all right on your own I hope you'll do ok on your own

I told you once, and I said it again I wanted love, and I needed a friend I held you up, and I made you the one And for a time you held the glow of my son But, I can't stand your darkness And the black clouds up above I can't stand your darkness All the black clouds up above I want someone who's happy Anytime that I'm around And whenever I am gone Is happy for the time alone I needed to find some light And I found it in a pair of bright eyes It's not my fault you were needy Or that you wanted me too much I carried you a long time But I'm no broken lover's crutch But, I can't stand your darkness All the black clouds up above I can't stand your darkness All the black clouds up above I needed to find some light And I found it in a pair of bright eyes Patience Of A Kite How long we stay aloft Depends on the wind And how far we can bend and where we will go Is not in our sight It can't be seen tonight And if you're tired, worried, Or you want some assurance I can say it's all right I can say it's all right And I will hold you With the patience of a kite I will hold you With the patience of a kite You want the lightning But you can't find the key I'd like to say it's me Hold on, hope slips quick Grab your happy tight Your little light shines brightly And if you're tired... Drift, and wonder if it's ok If it's worth it, wonder I can say it's all right...

You can ask your mom She won't understand Maybe she's too old Maybe she's grown cold When was the last time She looked through the end Of a telescope At the craters on the moon With the one who made her swoon? And you can ask your sister why She won't stand by your side Does she have what she wants Or did she just give up? You want her to be happy And she can be, too Doing what she wants Just like you And you can ask me girl I'll tell it to them all You have a perfect heart And I want to be a part of it I want to see you smile And make your dreams come true You deserve to swoon Baby, you deserve the moon

When will I see you shine again? When will I see you shine again? Oh baby, please, Turn your your smile toward me And when will I see you shine again? Your face stood out in a room full of strangers And I don't wonder why I saw your smile and my heart beat like mad As I felt it come back to life And when will I see you shine again? Oh baby, please, Turn your your smile toward me And when will I see you shine again? Cause you don't try You're a beauty And that's no lie When will I see you shine again?

You've got a heart as big as a whale And you swim the sea on your own You see the waves And you feel the spray But it won't take it away You've got a heart as big as a whale And you swim the sea on your own You look for the light All through the night But it won't shine below You've got a heart as big as a whale And you swim the sea on your own Maybe a net, or an old engine blade Will be the answer to The wishes you made Maybe a net, or an old engine blade Will come to answer The wishes you made You've got a heart as big as a whale And you swim the sea on your own

It ain't long for the day It ain't long for the day It ain't long for the day For the day When I'm coming home What a sight to see Miss Flannery and me We'll talk about her peacocks And man's depravity Vince will be there, too And he'll have a brand new ear We'll paint a couple sunflowers And then go grab a beer 'Cause it ain't long.. Imagine John and me It's easy if you try Strumming our guitars Up with Lucy in the sky Nick will sing a song But not one eye will cry Sisyphus will smile And roll his rock right by 'Cause it ain't long...

Everyone needs something To fill their heads with and believe Some pray for second chances And hope in life eternally But I limped when I came And I'll limp when I leave Oh, that's what I believe I've been too long Too long in the sun to see Well, you think god made you And Jesus can save you now That hell is against you And heaven can help you out But you were born into sin And it will find you again Oh, that's what I believe You've been too long Too long in the sun to see Well it makes you forget about The place you came from The part of you that knew And I limped when I came And I'll limp when I leave That's what I believe I've been too long Too long in the sun to see

You're a liar if you think the night's your friend It doesn't cover up it just pretends You'll never see the day again You're a liar if you think the night's your friend It doesn't cover up it just pretends You'll never need the day again Every song is a goodbye Another lover you had to leave behind You just keep thinking Your kite's gonna fly

I can't blame you for your love I set my expectations higher Than you could ever crawl And I can't fault you for giving up I asked you to drink deeply From an empty cup And when I think of What I could have had I guess you weren't so bad I guess you weren't so bad Tried to find a place to make my home With and without you I woke up alone And when I look at all That's come to pass You are/were the greener grass And when I think of What I could have had I guess you weren't so bad I guess you weren't so bad You can't blame me for my love You set your expectations higher Than I could ever crawl And you can't blame me for giving up You asked me to drink deeply From an empty cup And when I think of What I could have had I guess you weren't so bad I guess you weren't so bad

I, I've got high hopes Don't let me down Don't let me down I, I might deserve it Don't let me down Don't let me down I've had the worst I can't be hurt The bubble burst And it's gone

about

Class Picture Project is a music project from singer/songwriter Noah Hall (Easterly, Whiskey Priest) and producer/engineer Stan Keightley. It was recorded and arranged by Stan at VegetativeState in Salem, Oregon. The pair, along with Carson Hughes, brought together 32 amazing local musicians for the recordings.

The album was recorded and mixed in 12 days over 6 weeks. With few exceptions, the musicians had never heard the songs they performed on before arriving to perform. In some cases the performers improvised their own parts, others were directed by Stan or Noah. Many songs morphed drastically in the studio, most surprisingly turning many songs into duets. The result is a musical work full of energy, emotion, and many fortunate moments of creatively inspired collaboration.

Fans of Whiskey Priest and Easterly will be familiar with the strong melodies and emotive lyrical content. However, Class Picture marks the first time Noah has shared lead vocal duties. Selina Robertson and Cris Martinez are the highlights of the album. They sing in captivating conversation with Noah.
